Thermal conductivity detector (TCD) is a universal detector, it can detect air, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, sulfur oxide, inorganic gases and many other compounds.
It works by comparing the thermal conductivity of a sample with a reference gas.
Application:
We use TCD in the laboratory mainly for the detection of inorganic gases, methane, we test refinery gases, pyrolysis gases and process streams. Detection limit 100-1000 ppm.
