FTIR is suitable for testing liquids, solids and gases. This test is based on the absorption of infrared light by specific functional groups.
In the laboratory, we mainly use FTIR with the ATR attachment for material identification. This technique is also perfect for the identification of polymers, forensic traces, and the identification of sediments. In addition to ATR, we have gas cuvettes, transmission cuvettes and a TGA-IR interface.
