Since 01.09.2024 EkotechLAB has been participating as an implementation partner in the international HORIZON Europe project
“A Groundbreaking Route via Green Methanol Towards High-Efficiency Local Energy Supply (ResMe2E)”
funded under the call HORIZON-CL5-2024-D3-01 (grant agreement no. 101172988).
Project goal
The aim of the project is to develop a novel small-scale energy system integrating methanol production from low-value biogenic residues with high-efficiency electricity generation in an air Brayton cycle. The solution is designed to significantly improve the sustainability, autonomy and energy efficiency of local energy supply systems.
Our role (EkotechLAB)
EkotechLAB provides analytical support for syngas and methanol intermediates, participates in the development and evaluation of new catalytic systems, and supports the design of instrumentation for process optimisation and experimental validation.
Consortium
The project is carried out by an international consortium from Belgium, Lithuania, Germany and Poland, bringing together expertise in energy engineering, chemistry, process optimisation and advanced combustion technologies.
Project duration: 36 months
Start date: 1 September 2024
End date: 31 August 2027
Status: Ongoing
Project 1
Since 01.06.2017 EkotechLAB has been implementing an EU-funded project entitled
“Development and implementation of an innovative calorimeter for determining the heat of combustion of solid and liquid samples”, under the Operational Programme Smart Growth (Measure 2.3.2 – Innovation Vouchers for SMEs).
Project goal
To develop and implement an innovative device for measuring the heat of combustion of solid and liquid samples – unique on the national market.
Project value: 395,000 PLN
EU funding: 316,000 PLN
Planned results
The project will enable the creation of a device for temperature and combustion heat measurement equipped with a remote data transmission module, improving data quality and enabling real-time analysis. The solution will support R&D collaboration with external partners and strengthen analytical capabilities in the field of calorimetry. The new sensor and automatic sample feeding module for liquid and solid materials respond to the growing needs of both industry and research institutions.
Project status: Completed
Project 2
Since 2018 EkotechLAB has been participating in the strategic BIOSTRATEG project entitled
“New eco-energy technologies for the sustainable development of rural areas and low-emission agricultural production”, co-funded by the National Centre for Research and Development under the strategic research programme “Environment, Agriculture and Forestry” – BIOSTRATEG.
Project goal
The main objective of the TechRol initiative is to develop environmentally friendly technologies that enable the use of natural resources in rural and forest areas for the production of heat and electricity. The project focuses on eco-energy solutions that support sustainable rural development and promote low-emission agricultural practices.
Project scope
The R&D activities include the development of practical technologies that can be implemented in real production environments in a short time horizon. The project is carried out by a consortium of research institutions and industrial partners, enabling comprehensive solutions to environmental, technological and energy challenges related to agricultural and forestry production.
Status: Ongoing
Project 3
Since 01.11.2019 EkotechLAB has been implementing an EU-funded project entitled
“Development and implementation of an innovative device for elemental analysis (C, H, N, S, O) as an extension module for a gas chromatograph”
under the Operational Programme Smart Growth | Measure 2.3.2 – Innovation Vouchers for SMEs.
Project goal
To introduce to the market an innovative modular device enabling determination of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), sulphur (S) and nitrogen (N) in liquid, solid and gaseous samples. The system aims to significantly shorten analysis time, lower detection limits and expand the capabilities of elemental analysis, especially in the field of gas analytics.
Project value: 395,000 PLN
EU funding: 335,750 PLN
Planned results
The implemented device will be equipped with a high-sensitivity detector and will allow new applications of existing gas chromatographs and detectors, thus responding to the needs of both science and industry.
Status: Completed
Projekt 4
